FAB Events Inc. would like to welcome you all to the 1st Annual FAB Events Golf Classic!
We hope that you are prepared for a slightly unique experience at this Golf Classic, as we are fully prepared to offer up an exciting morning/afternoon of golf, great food, cold beverages, entertainment…all in under 6.5 hours! Yes that’s right, we plan to have you golf, eat, drink, entertained, awarded and on your way in 6 hours!
As organizers for many types and styles of events, we often have a chance to sit back and see what works, what doesn’t and what can be altered to make it more enjoyable for all those that take time out of their busy schedules to participate in events such as the Golf Classic.
We also realize and understand that events such as this are becoming a dime a dozen and almost everyone gets asked to take part in a Tournament three or four times as year, hence the reason why we want to make things more streamlined and even more importantly affordable for everyone. The bang for your buck on this Golf Classic will hopefully have you signing up for year 1 and coming back for year 2!

Small+Mighty Project Story
Having three children born premature, I wanted a way to give back not only to the doctors and nurses who helped our little ones, but also to the families just like mine.
I will never forget the raw emotions I felt as I watched over my little ones daily, the strength, determination and fight it took for each and every breath. A combined total of 200 days was spent in the Calgary's Neonatal Intensive Care Units between my three littles, Nixon James (4lbs 10oz), Rome Jacob (1lb 15oz) and Hadley Grace (1lb 13oz).
A time of completely overwhelming emotions, the highs, the lows, such delicate tiny lives and we were left feeling completely helpless as their parents. Celebrating each and every gained ounce, every millilitre more of milk, their first haircut (which meant that they needed an IV line in their head), milestones only an NICU parent would celebrate.
I will never forget those days and will always be extremely grateful for the care they received. Here at Jacob.Grace Designs through our Small+Mighty Project, we create gift bags + capture memories for the families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Calgary, Alberta, in honor of World Prematurity Day, November 17th.
SMALL+MIGHTY PROJECT MISSION:
To bring light in the dark days, a gift to let them know that so many people are thinking of them, we are sending strength, love and joy their way, with a goal to impact as may families experiencing the NICU.
What is the Small+Mighty Project about?
The Small+Mighty Project collects donations throughout the year leading up to World Prematurity Day. In November, we gather volunteers (usually NICU graduate Moms who have received the gift bags previously) and we put the gift bags together for the families. We then go to each NICU site in Calgary the week leading up to World Prematurity Day to deliver the bags personally to each bedside while also capturing professional photos for the families to treasure.


WHAT DOES THE SMALL+MIGHTY PROJECT PROVIDE?
The Small+Mighty Project creates gift bags for families in the 5 Neonatal Intensive care units in Calgary in honor of World Prematurity Day (November 17th). As well as the gift bags the week of World Prematurity Day, we have professional photographers go to each site and photograph each little one for the family to look back on and have beautiful memories of their journey. Over the past 4 years we have been able to deliver 1,268 gift bags to very deserving families in Calgary's 5 units with the goal that one day every single baby that goes through the NICU will receive a gift from our project. We have also donated $10,139 to The Calgary Health Trust to go directly back to the NICU's in Calgary.

There are many ways to be involved with this fundraising event:

FAB Events Inc. is a full service event coordination company based in Calgary, Alberta. We work with a variety of clients who require professional special event production for sporting activities, charity events, galas, cocktail receptions, seasonal events (Christmas, New Years, Halloween etc.), award ceremonies, team building activities and fundraisers. We also provide event production services to clients seeking professional event planning for private functions; including weddings, garden parties, reunions and family celebrations. Our events are meticulously planned and executed.
FAB Events Inc. was created after numerous family and friends kept asking us when we would branch out and start our own events company. So after 25 successful years of developing, coordinating, promoting and managing events across Canada for 3 Calgary organizations (Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation & The Forzani Group Foundation) we did it!
The name of the company was a simple decision… FAB Events Inc. which is the initials of my Grandpa. Frank Alexander Birss was a thoughtful, caring, considerate, respectful person to all that had the pleasure of meeting him.
Events such as the Becel Ride for Heart, Ski Show, Cheerios Mother Daughter Walk (Calgary & Edmonton), Investors Group Skate For Heart, $10,000,000 Hole-in-One (Calgary &Montreal), Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk & Ride (Vancouver, Vernon, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Montreal & Halifax), Golf Show, Calgary Stampeder Golf Classic, Crystal Gala, Forzani Ironman Golf Invitational, Calgary Stampeder Wall of Fame Dinner, Bow Valley Hockey Gala, University Eye Foundation Golf Classic have allowed us the opportunity to excel in many forms of event planning.
